Rabbi Lindy Reznick is honored to serve as Congregation Emanu El’s first female Rabbi in its 127 year history. She is proud of the inclusive, warm and welcoming, vibrant, 21st century Jewish community that she is helping build at Congregation Emanu El. She looks forward to your partnership in enhancing the depth of mind and spirit in all we do.

Rabbi Reznick is a member of Central Conference of American Rabbis (CCAR) and Southern California’s Board of Rabbis. Most recently she served as school Rabbi at Milken Community Schools, where she was rabbinic spiritual guide, head of Jewish Studies Department, Pastoral counselor, Rabbinic Educator, and served all members of the Middle School Community. Previously Rabbi Reznick worked at Wilshire Boulevard Temple as Rabbi & Rabbinic Educator for Brawerman Elementary School and Director of east campus Religious School of Wilshire Boulevard Temple. Rabbi Reznick was raised in Southern California, and worked in many temples throughout the Los Angeles area.

Rabbi Reznick is passionate about creating space for spiritual reflection and growth whether it is from the pulpit or in the classroom. She is a born educator who loves teaching people of all ages and backgrounds. Rabbi Reznick cares deeply about issues of social justice, equality, and inclusivity in our community. She works in partnership with the community at broad as well as other organizations to bring about a more just and fair society for all humankind. Rabbi Reznick integrates her deep passion and knowledge of dance, theater and the arts into her rabbinate. She views life like a canvas that we are constantly painting upon adding depth, color and re-creating expressions of self and the divine.

Rabbi Reznick is thrilled to finally be settled with her family, her partner and two children in Redlands California. When not at shul you may find her in the yoga studio or out hiking the hillsides of our beautiful state. She welcomes you to our community and looks forward to learning and praying alongside you as together we grow in strength and soul.
